If you are running a FIS sanctioned event, this article gives you steps to set up your startlists so that the FIS rules apply:
- top 6 ranked athletes are first to drop in randomized order
- remaining athletes are randomized
- if running qualis and final, final is ordered by lowest scoring athlete from qualis as first to drop
LiveHeats is working on a automated tools for generating the start order for FIS events in this way, but for now please follow the video guide below and use this Google Sheets random seed creator tool.
How to generate your start list as per FIS seeding rules
- Get your entry data into a spreadsheet, sorted by FIS points. Be sure to include a column for FIS Code and Gender, e.g.:
- Open the LiveHeats' Google Sheets random seed creator tool and click File > Make a copy:
- Copy your data from your spreadsheet into the file, pasting into the Yellow shaded area. This will generate random number as per the FIS rules above
- Click File > Download to csv
- Import the file into the division on LiveHeats
- Select the appropriate Template and generate your startlist, either dividing the field into Heats or into a Startlist
