When you handle payments using LiveHeats, we apply a transaction fee to the payment. This article describes how it works.
What is the transaction fee?
The fees that your transactions will be subject to are split into two parts:
1. Stripe fees
These are standard fees set by Stripe which vary by country. Check out https://stripe.com/pricing to understand the pricing for your region. Make sure you have the correct country selected.
2. Liveheats fees
Liveheats charges a standard 4% on each transaction.
Your total fees will be made up of Stripe fees + Liveheats fees
Custom requirements
If you have more complex requirements like split payments, this could be subject to a higher fee and will be quoted based on your specific request.
How fees work - example
- Entries for your event are $50AUD
- Stripe in Australia charges 1.70% + A$0.30.
- Liveheats charge 4%
When the athlete pays $50, you will receive $46.85 in your bank account after fees. Those fees are made up of:
- $1.15. Stripe fees of ((50*.017)+0.3)
- $2 Liveheats fees
There are no additional fees charged to the athlete.
How about credit card fees, or service fees?
These are all included in Stripe and Liveheats fees.
Are transaction fees refunded?
Transaction fees are not refunded, but you have full control over the refund amount that you offer to your customers. We suggest refunding the amount that they paid minus the fees that you paid so that you are not left out of pocket.
