Every now and again athletes request a tax invoice for their event or membership registration. While LiveHeats generates a payment receipt, we do not generate an invoice on your behalf, as we are just the payment platform in the middle, and are not privy to your tax jurisdiction, tax amounts, or accounting system. Here's how to deal with these requests.
How to issue an invoice for athletes for event or membership registrations
- Find the payment, which you can find in your inbox by searching their name or via your Payments area on LiveHeats
- Referring to the gross details in the payment, use your invoicing system to generate an invoice. Any payments received on Liveheats are tax inclusive, so if you charge GST or VAT for example, that should be incorporated in the final amount charged to the athletes on LiveHeats. If you don't have an accounting system you can easily create a Invoice using Google Sheets, see here for how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fR8X4IHLqN0
- Send the invoice over to the athlete
Note: If you use Xero or Quickbooks to generate an invoice, you'll need to work with your accountant to reconcile the payment against the invoice out of the Payout from LiveHeats.
