In some rankings, there is a concept of 'the cut', where the top X athletes in the ranking advance to the next phase of your series. This rule is common in professional world tours, but can be used at any level to bring some more excitement to your rankings. Here's how to set this up with LiveHeats.
How to set a cut line in the rankings
- Navigate to the Series area and select the relevant Series where you'd like to add a ranking cut line:
- Click Series settings and select the Rankings tab
- Scroll down to the area that says Show cut line and click Yes
- Select the division in the series you'd like to add a cut-line to
- Enter the position in the ranking where you'd like to show a cut after. E.g. if a top 5 cut line, enter "5"
- Enter a name for the cut line, this will display on the public rankings inside the line itself
- Repeat if you'd like to add more cut-lines to the current, or other, divisions. You can set as many as you'd like, then click Save
- Note, once set, the cut line will display on the public rankings only, so click on the Public rankings to view
