In addition to supporting team/relay events where multiple athletes can compete in one team, Liveheats also allows (on certain templates) roles to be added to team/relay members. This article explains how a director can add those roles.
- On the Event dashboard, click the division
- Ensure Template is set correctly and you are on the Teams tab
- Select the team you wish to add roles for
- Select +Add role and pick from the drop-down menu and select Save to lock in your selection
- To remove or change a role simply select the role again and remove it using the X symbol
FAQs for using this feature
Do I have to add roles to a team roster?
No, this is not mandatory, however, your governing body may request this to be done for a variety of reasons including making it easier for commentators to know what leg/discipline team members are doing.
Can I edit roles between heats/rounds?
Yes, you can edit the roles of team members between rounds and it won't affect completed heats, it will only update in future heats/rounds.
You are unable to edit roles on Live races or once completed/eliminated from the draw.
Who sees the roles of team members
This information is displayed publicly to all level users.
We can add roles to team members
This functionality can be performed by directors, team managers and those users who are linked to team profiles via the Liveheats entry process.
