This article is written for athletes and athlete managers, providing a step-by-step guide to registering for an event.
How to register for an event
- Go to www.liveheats.com and type in the name of the organisation who is running the event.
- Select the organisation from the list of results. Note, you might have to try different versions of the name to find their organiser profile (e.g. "Surfing NSW" instead of "Surfing New South Wales"):
- Once on the organiser's public profile, click the Event or go to the Events tab to find it:
- Once on the event page, click Register:
- Now, you will be asked to:
- A) Login to your LiveHeats account if you already have one, or;
- B) Sign up to LiveHeats if its your first time using LiveHeats
- Note, if you are registering for an event that requires membership, ensure you are logging in with the account that you used during the membership registration (learn more):
- Click Add athlete to view and search the athletes from account to register. If you are new to LiveHeats, or only have one athlete on your account, it will pre-populate with the open form:
- Complete the form and all questions asked by the organiser, and scroll to the bottom of the form and click Add divisions:
- Select the divisions you'd like to register the athlete into, then click Save:
- If you are registering more than one athlete, click Add another athlete and repeat steps 7 and 8. Once done, click Continue at the bottom of the page.
- Enter your contact details and read and understand the organiser's notes and terms and conditions (if any). Once done, click Continue. If this is an unpaid event, at this point you will reach the confirmation page, and your registration into the event is complete. If there is a payment, proceed to step 11:
- Enter your credit card information, or use Google or Apple Pay. Once done, click Pay:
- If the payment is successful you will reach the confirmation page and a email will be sent to your inbox.
